By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.

Content Ownership & Copyright

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the recipes, photos, notes, meal plans, and other content you store in Sharp Cooking ("Your Content"). We don't claim any ownership over Your Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Copyright Responsibility

When importing recipes from cookbooks, websites, or other sources, you're responsible for respecting copyright law. Sharp Cooking is designed for personal recipe organization — not for bulk distribution of copyrighted content. We've built privacy controls and sharing limits to help users comply with copyright law, but you're ultimately responsible for how you use the Service.

Our Content

Service Terms

Service Availability

Sharp Cooking is currently in public beta and provided free of charge. We strive to maintain high availability but make no guarantees about uptime or performance during the beta period. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or due to technical issues beyond our control.

Beta period and future paid product

Sharp Cooking is free to use during the beta period. After beta, ongoing access to new recipe imports and other paid features will require a subscription. Pricing and exact terms will be communicated in advance of any change so you can decide whether to continue.

Recipes you imported during the beta will remain accessible to you afterward, even if you choose not to subscribe. You will always be able to view, search, cook from, export, and share the recipes you imported during beta — this commitment carries forward through the paid product launch.

Advertising

Sharp Cooking does not currently include advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future, we'll update these Terms and notify you in advance of any change. We will not sell your personal data or recipes regardless of any future revenue model.

Changes to Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for significant changes that negatively affect functionality, but we're not obligated to maintain any specific feature indefinitely.

Data Export

You can export your recipes at any time. We recommend periodic backups. If we discontinue the Service, we'll provide at least 90 days' notice and tools to export your data.

Disclaimers & Limitations

No Warranties

Sharp Cooking is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We don't warrant the accuracy of AI-extracted recipe data, and users should review all imported recipes for errors.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schick Creative LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to US$100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Not Legal or Nutritional Advice

Information on Sharp Cooking about copyright law, food safety, nutrition, or cooking techniques is for informational purposes only. We're not lawyers, nutritionists, or certified food safety experts. Consult appropriate professionals for legal, medical, or dietary advice.

Termination

By You

You can delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We'll delete your recipes, personal data, and uploaded images from our systems and third-party services.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in ways that harm other users or our infrastructure. We'll provide notice when reasonably possible, but we reserve the right to terminate immediately for severe violations (e.g., security threats, illegal activity).

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.

Contact First

Before pursuing formal legal action, please contact us at Hello@SharpCooking.com to resolve the issue. Most disputes can be resolved through conversation.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through a prominent notice in the Service. We'll also update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.

Your continued use of Sharp Cooking after changes to these Terms means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

General Terms

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sharp Cooking regarding the Service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Sharp Cooking.
