Beta Version 0.10.0 landed this week. Here’s what changed.
New design
The biggest visible change is the design system. We overhauled colors, spacing, and typography across the entire app — buttons, modals, cards, all of it — to use a consistent set of tokens. The result is a cleaner, brighter feel that holds together better across screen sizes. We’re still iterating, but this release set the foundation.
Community features
The first version of community types is in. Household communities are live — create one, invite people, and your recipes become automatically available to the group. This is the foundation for cooking clubs, potlucks, and event coordination. More on that soon.
Navigation and performance
We simplified the app header navigation — My Recipes, Meal Planner, and Shopping List are now direct links.
Recipes now paginate at 36 per page. If your library was getting slow to load as it grew, this should help.
The app interface is fully translated into (our first) six languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, and Swedish. This release fixed several hard-coded strings in the camera and reader components that had been slipping through untranslated.
What’s next
We’re continuing to work on import reliability, accessibility, and mobile layouts. The community and event coordination features — shared shopping lists, potluck planning, cooking club tools — are actively in development.
We’re also working on making the app experience better for everyone, including screen reader users. That work is ongoing and won’t stop.
Tell us what you think
The Submit Feedback button is in the footer of every page in the app. Bug reports, things that are confusing, features you’re waiting for — use it. We read everything.
